Caller ID and direct dial numbers
Which number people see when you call them, how to change it, and how direct dial numbers work.

When you call someone, they see one of your account's numbers. If you have a direct dial number (a DDI), that's what they see. If not, they see the account's default caller ID, usually the main company number.
Change the number you show
Admins decide which numbers each person can use. Among those, you pick:
Click your profile picture at the top right.
Choose Caller ID. The list shows every number you're allowed to present.
Pick one. Your next call shows that number.
You can switch as often as you like, for example showing the main number when you ring a customer back and your own line when you ring a supplier.
Direct dial numbers
A direct dial number rings you and nobody else. It shows on your profile under Settings > Profile > Numbers, marked DDI, alongside your extension. Callers reach you without going through the company's call flow, so it suits anyone customers ring often.
Admins assign direct numbers under Settings > Numbers: open the number, set Assigned to to User, pick the person, and save.
Who can present which number
Under Settings > Numbers, each number has an Outbound access list. Anyone on it can use that number as their caller ID. Add or remove people with Add user and Remove. This is how you let the whole sales team present the sales line, without giving them the finance number.
The account's fallback for everyone without a direct number is the Default caller ID, set under Settings > Global settings > Account settings.
Good to know
Calls between colleagues show extensions, not full numbers.
The number you present is the one people ring back, so pick one that reaches you.
Withholding your number isn't a setting in Olatti. If you need it for a particular call, ask us.
