Emergency calls (999 and 112) on Olatti

What's different about emergency calls over the internet, and how to keep your registered address correct.

You can call 999 and 112 from Olatti, but because calls travel over the internet there are limits you need to know about. Keep another way to call, such as a mobile.

What's different from a landline

  • Power and internet. If your power or connection is down, Olatti can't place the call. A traditional landline often still works in a power cut; a phone on Olatti doesn't.

  • Your location. The operator receives the address registered against the number you call from. If you're working somewhere else, tell the operator where you are.

  • New numbers. Emergency calls may not work on a number that's still being set up or ported.

  • Suspended accounts. If your account is suspended or restricted for non-payment, emergency calls may not connect.

What never blocks an emergency call

Running out of Credit, going over your allowance, a fair-use review or a restriction on outbound calling. None of those stop 999 or 112.

Keep your address correct

Each number has a registered address. Tell us when you move, and for anyone who works from home, ask us to set their direct number's address to their home. Email hello@olatti.com with the number and the new address.

eSIM line

If you have the Olatti eSIM line on your mobile, emergency calls from it go over the mobile network in the normal way.
