Connect Olatti to Claude and ChatGPT

Add Olatti to Claude or ChatGPT and ask your AI assistant about your calls, transcripts, messages and contacts.

Last updated About 1 month ago

Olatti works with Claude and ChatGPT, so you can ask your AI assistant about your own calls, transcripts, messages and contacts, and even place a call, without leaving the chat.

MCP server URL

https://mcp.olatti.com/mcp

Add this URL to Claude or ChatGPT as a custom connector, then sign in with your Olatti account. The assistant sees only what you can see in Olatti: your own call history, your own conversations and your account's contacts. Olatti connects to Claude and ChatGPT today. Support for other assistants is coming.

Claude

Personal plan (Free, Pro or Max)

  1. Open Claude and go to Settings > Connectors.

  2. Click Add, then choose Custom connector.

  3. Enter a name, such as Olatti, and paste the MCP server URL above.

  4. Click Add, then Connect. You'll be sent to Olatti to sign in.

  5. Sign in to Olatti the way you normally do, for most people Continue with Google, then click Approve.

  6. Back in Claude, Olatti shows as connected. The first time a chat uses an Olatti tool, Claude asks for permission; choose Always allow so it doesn't ask again.

Olatti's tools are now available in every new chat.

Team or Enterprise plan

  1. Ask your workspace owner or admin to add the connector first, under Organisation settings > Connectors > Add > Custom connector, using the MCP server URL above.

  2. Once it's added, go to your own Settings > Connectors. Olatti is listed.

  3. Click Connect, sign in to Olatti (for most people Continue with Google) and click Approve.

Claude's settings move around from time to time. If a step looks different, follow Claude's current instructions for adding a custom connector, or ask Claude how to add one.

ChatGPT

You need a ChatGPT Plus, Pro or Team plan.

  1. Open ChatGPT and click your name in the bottom-left corner.

  2. Go to Settings > Apps > Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.

  3. Click Create an app and name it Olatti. Leave the description blank.

  4. Paste the MCP server URL above into the URL field.

  5. Click Create, then sign in to Olatti when prompted and click Approve.

  6. Refresh the page. Olatti's tools now appear when you chat.

What you can ask

Try these once you're connected.

Calls

  • "Who have I been calling most this week?"

  • "Find my last three calls with Sarah Khan and summarise them."

  • "Search last month's external calls tagged 'support' and pull the transcripts."

  • "What did we agree on the call with Paul on Tuesday?"

Contacts

  • "What's Tom Reilly's mobile number?"

  • "Find everyone at Harbour Architects."

Messages

  • "Catch me up on my direct messages with Priya."

  • "What was said in the product channel yesterday?"

Calling

  • "Look up Graham's number and call him from my desktop."

Good to know

It's your data, and only yours. The assistant is signed in as you. It can read your calls, your conversations and your account's contacts, and place calls from your devices. It can't see a colleague's calls or messages.

Searching calls. The assistant finds calls by who you spoke to, the number, the date and any tags. To pull up what was said, it opens that call's transcript and summary. Transcripts and summaries need the Plus or Unlimited plan; on Metered the assistant sees the call but not the words.

Placing a call. When you ask it to call someone, the assistant asks which of your devices to use, then rings it. Answer, and Olatti connects you.

What it can't do yet. The assistant reads and it dials; it doesn't write. It can't send messages, create or edit contacts, manage voicemail, transfer or hang up calls, or change any account settings. That list will grow.

Staying signed in. The connection refreshes itself while you use it. If you haven't used it for a week, you'll be asked to sign in again.

Anything the assistant reads stays in the assistant. Your AI provider handles that chat under its own terms. Olatti's own voice, transcription and summarisation still run on our infrastructure in our UK data centres; connecting an assistant doesn't change where those happen.

Troubleshooting

Connection failed when adding the server. Check the URL is exactly https://mcp.olatti.com/mcp, including the /mcp at the end, and that you're adding it in Claude or ChatGPT.

Sign-in page won't accept my details. Sign in with the account you use for Olatti itself, not your AI assistant's login. If you use Google for Olatti, choose Continue with Google.

Olatti tools don't appear. In ChatGPT, refresh the page after creating the app. In Claude, open Settings > Connectors and check Olatti says connected; if not, click Connect again.

The assistant can't find a call. It searches by name, number, date and tags, not by the words spoken. Give it a name or a date range, then ask for the transcript.

No transcript or summary. The call was on the Metered plan, wasn't recorded, or hasn't finished processing. Recorded calls on Plus and Unlimited get a transcript and summary shortly after they end.

Session expired. The connection lapses after a week without use. Click Connect again in your assistant's settings and sign in.
